January: What’s Next?

Let's explore "What Next?"

What is at the core of every fundraising effort? PEOPLE.
In order to grow your organization’s resources and impact, you need to invest in your donors.

Create a thoughtful donor cultivation and stewardship plan! When your donors feel appreciated, they give. More funds = More opportunities to think big and grow your organization.

Nonprofits often create ways to engage donors through a campaign or an event. And as a result, nonprofits are hyper-focused on completing those tasks without planning for what’s next.

So WHAT'S NEXT?... stewardship and cultivation.

F.E.A.S.T. completed their year-end campaign...

CASE STUDY: F.E.A.S.T., a global organization, came to Empowered Nonprofits because they were looking to grow their end of year fundraising and donor engagement. Their goal was to raise $70,000 in order to meet their 2022 financial goals and build a campaign that not only raised money, but that also brought in new donors.

The 6-week end of year campaign featured fresh, dynamic, and visually appealing content that spoke to F.E.A.S.T.'s mission and community. Through multiple e-blasts, social media posts, and testimonials, they raised $117,000, exceeding their initial $70,000 goal. As a result, F.E.A.S.T. and Empowered Nonprofits will continue to work together to implement a donor recognition and stewardship plan in 2023.

...here is What's Next for F.E.A.S.T.

Donor Survey

We are not guessing what F.E.A.S.T. donors need or want, we are asking them! We are creating a (SHORT!) survey with meaningful questions to meet their donors where they are and understand how they feel about F.E.A.S.T.'s cultivation efforts.

Data Segmentation

We are filtering the F.E.A.S.T. donor data - amount, frequency, date of gift history, location - to inform how F.E.A.S.T. should interact with their donors and determine what they need to change for the year ahead.

Customized Plan

We will create a unique plan that works for F.E.A.S.T. and their donors. This includes sponsorship benefits, donor communication, and a list of activities to keep donors engaged.
