September: The Importance of the Board and Staff Partnership

The Importance of the Board and Staff Partnership
This month, Empowered Nonprofits worked both in person and on Zoom – in a variety of different capacities to enhance board and staff engagement.

We lead one of our favorite exercises, “Four Corners”, both in person and on Zoom (images below). “Four Corners” creates a visual of the strengths each of your team members bring to your organization and it always leads to fruitful conversation.

Getting to Know Your Leadership
We facilitated activities that allow each leader to connect to the “how” and the “why” they have chosen to commit their precious time to the organization. Through creative outlets, we helped each person connect to the organization’s mission and learn to tell their own individual stories more effectively.

Building Relationships
Finally, Empowered also facilitated our client’s kick-off advisory board dinner to discuss strategy, ideas, and next steps. A beautiful dinner with an opportunity for socializing is also a great way for your Board members to get to know each other and connect.
